GETTING THERE

BY ROAD

Mussoorie is accessible by road from Delhi via Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee, and Dehradun. It takes 5-6 hours on a good day, assuming 30-40 minutes of stopping time.  With the new Meerut expressway and Roorkee bypass, the travel experience has become wonderfully smooth.

BY RAIL

Dehradun is very well connected to the rest of India by train. From Delhi, the best trains are the Dehradun Shatabdi or the Mussoorie Express, but depending on your time of departure, there are several options. Here is some basic train information.

BY AIR

Flights from Delhi take 40 minutes to reach Dehradun. If you are flying in from any other city, you will need to transit through Delhi to reach Dehradun. At present, Spicejet, Indigo, Vistara, and Air India fly to Jolly Grant Airport that is 2 hours away from Mussoorie.

TAXI SERVICES

You can rent a taxi from the station or airport to take you to Mussoorie or book ahead and have someone pick you up when you get there. Please let us know if you need help booking a taxi. It is usually cheaper to book a taxi at the station or airport because taxis from Mussoorie will charge extra to come to Dehradun and then come up to Mussoorie again.
