GETTING THERE

BY ROAD

The Dehradun Expressway takes you within 2.5 hours to the edge of Dehradun. From there, it can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes to cross Dehradun depending on the time of day. Staring early from Delhi helps. The toilets on the expressway are still temporary. Clean but basic. Very few snack options till you reach Dehradun. We recommend zipping through the expressway, crossing Dehradun and taking a break at Nik Bakers once you’ve crossed the town. Good toilets and wonderful eating options. You will also pass many cafes just before Nik Bakers that you can consider stopping at as well. From Nik Bakers, it takes about 1 hour to get to the hotel. You will reach Kin Craig from where the road forks towards Library Chowk and Kulri. Take the Kulri fork. As soon as you reach the Taxi Stand, you know you have reached. If you are staying at Raghu Niwas, you will see the road going up. If you are at Madho Bhawan, take a U-turn and go back about 200 meters. You will see the road for Madho Bhawan. Your car can drive straight up. In case you need help, please call the hotel and they will guide you.

BY RAIL

Dehradun is very well connected to the rest of India by train. From Delhi, the best trains are the Dehradun Shatabdi or the Mussoorie Express, but depending on your time of departure, there are several options. Here is some basic train information.

BY AIR

You need to fly to Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun to get to Mussoorie. There are direct flights from Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai and of course Delhi. With the expressway from Delhi becoming so good, flying from Delhi doesn’t really make sense. Taxis are available at the airport to take you to Mussoorie. You can even ask the hotel to book one for you.

TAXI SERVICES

You can rent a taxi from the station or airport to take you to Mussoorie or book ahead and have someone pick you up when you get there. Please let us know if you need help booking a taxi. It is usually cheaper to book a taxi at the station or airport because taxis from Mussoorie will charge extra to come to Dehradun and then come up to Mussoorie again.
